Create your own Craft Project (Machine Appliqué Skills)
Overview
This course is designed to get you started with decorative appliqué techniques so you can create your own craft project!
Appliqué techniques involve embellishing a base fabric by attaching smaller pieces of fabric, or other materials, onto its surface to create decorative designs. These techniques can range from simple hand-stitching to more intricate machine methods, allowing for diverse textural and visual effects.
Over the course of the 10 weeks, you will learn how to create a variety of effects using different appliqué techniques. You will also learn how to plan a project which combines some of these techniques to create a variety of surface textures to create textile art panels.
You do not need to have any experience using a sewing machine. All learners will have access to a sewing machine in the workshop and we'll provide full instructions on how to use them and optimise their capabilities right from the start.
You will have the opportunity to design and create your own craft project as part of this course.
